Empty Fridges

Public intervention and performance, Lebanon, 2019

Empty Fridges is a public intervention and performance inspired by a series of discarded photographs of domestic fridges found on Spears Street, Beirut in August 2017.

Using the concept of missing posters, the intervention draws on the relevance of fridges to highlight the socio-economic situation in Lebanon, which is leaving many people without food and with literally empty fridges in their homes.

This public intervention is part one of an ongoing project on the theme of empty fridges.
